Itvan Kebadian

Itvan Kebadian is a French painter, a survivor of the Lebanese civil war and a member of the Armenian community, who has been painting since 1998 and working in the street since 2005. A co-founder of the TWE crew, with which he painted for over twenty years, he belongs to a generation that shaped French graffiti: in 2011 alone TWE put up more than four hundred walls. His line comes out of engraving, meticulous and hatched, but he lays it down with the wide gesture of the spray can, in black and white over blood-red grounds. Since 2018 he has painted scenes of upheaval, riots and insurrection, standoffs between the forces of repression and the young, almost always in collaboration with other graffiti writers. He is represented by the Dominique Fiat gallery in Paris and showed "Pluie acide" in Nantes, an immersive fresco made with Veneno.
