Robot One

Robot One is a street artist working in Lisbon, who painted his contact address straight onto the wall. He works in large-format photorealistic portraiture set against flat graphic backgrounds: on the long blue wall of Rua Aprígio Mafra, in Campo Grande, the face of an elderly woman in cat-eye sunglasses floats among a scatter of grey gears. He introduces himself in Portuguese and English, and takes commissions, festivals and both private and public projects.
