André Taymans

André Taymans is a Belgian comics author from Ottignies. An admirer of Hergé, he studied comics with his neighbour Edgar P. Jacobs and lived for many years in Brussels. In 1996, in the magazine "(À Suivre)" at Casterman, he created Caroline Baldwin, a private detective born and raised until the age of twelve on a Huron reserve in Quebec before moving to the United States. His drawing reinvests the narrative and graphic codes of classic comics, in the line of Tintin, Natacha and Yoko Tsuno.
