Turk

Turk, real name Philippe Liégeois (Durbuy, 1947 - 2023), was a Belgian cartoonist hired at sixteen by the drawing studio of Dupuis in Brussels, where he met Bob de Groot. The pair created Robin Dubois, published in Journal de Tintin in 1969, then in 1975 Léonard, a burlesque genius inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, a series that would pass fifty volumes at Le Lombard, as well as Clifton. He won the Saint-Michel prize for best humorous drawing in 1981 and the Alph-Art youth award at Angoulême in 1990.
