Biography
NovaDead is the artist name of Julien Crevaels, a Belgian-Congolese artist based in Brussels. His work draws on ancient African traditions and on his childhood memories, and gives pride of place to equatorial flora and fauna. He is best known for "The Future is Europe", a 30-metre-high, 20-metre-wide painted gable in the European quarter, commissioned by the non-profit Urbana with the developer Atenor, whose message has become one of the most photographed images in Brussels.
