Pyquet

Pyquet is a street artist from the Bordeaux area. He paints in acrylic on plates, frames each piece in black, then installs it in public space. His guiding principle is a pairing: a painting and a song, whose title runs along the left edge of the frame and sheds light on the subject depicted. His themes range from symbolic imagery and Christian iconography, often critical of religious institutions, to topical subjects from national scandals to international conflict. His plates have travelled well beyond Bordeaux, as far as Marrakech, Fez, Berlin and Amsterdam.
