Biography
Khemeteye is a Lisbon-based urban artist who describes the practice as multidisciplinary and shares it under that name on Instagram and Tumblr. The approach is summed up in a short statement: the union of cycles between the spirit and the five senses, states of mind given physical form, and a search for balance between supposedly fixed extremes, ugliness and beauty, light and darkness.
Most of the work appears on walls around the Portuguese capital, though it has travelled further, with a piece titled "Hunter" spotted in Madrid in 2024. The artist's imagery also reaches beyond the street, with cover artwork for music releases published on Bandcamp.
