Francisco Bosoletti

Born in 1988 in Armstrong, a country town in Argentina's Santa Fe province, Francisco Bosoletti graduated from the Rosario art school in 2010. He paints monumental figures, almost always female, using rollers and brushes rather than spray cans, in the muted greys, ochres and greens he draws from Neapolitan Baroque and the Florentine Renaissance. His signature device is painting in negative: some murals only fully reveal themselves once photographed and inverted. The tulip, a recurring motif in his work, carries a message of peace from Naples to Buenos Aires and Portugal.
