Biography
Born in 1982 in Cherbourg, Olivier Tenedor studied cinema and theatre in Rennes and worked for several years as a cinema projectionist. A 2009 journey through South America proved decisive: pre-Columbian art, the Guaraní carvings of the Jesuit missions and Bolivian myth became the foundation of his visual vocabulary. He settled in Buenos Aires in 2011, set up a screen-printing workshop and in 2015 co-founded the Quorum gallery with photographer Santiago Carrera. Since 2021 he has been based in Nantes, where he continues to draw, engrave and work with ceramics while placing his creatures in public space as wall collages and three-dimensional pieces.
