Biography
Slim Safont (born Nil Safont in Berga in 1995) is a Catalan muralist and visual artist who holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Barcelona. He has painted since childhood and works in a figurative, realist language defined by a meticulous study of colour and light.
His practice aims to draw attention to everyday situations that, beneath an ordinary surface, reveal wider social concerns. A co-founder of the Malpaís collective in Barcelona, an off-space dedicated to artistic production, he frequently creates interventions in public space.
His murals can be found across Catalonia and the rest of Spain, as well as in Italy, Belgium, France, Belarus, Kosovo, Russia and the United States. In 2023 he painted a monumental 45-metre mural in Tbilisi for the Tbilisi Mural Fest, in collaboration with Wedo.
