Biography
Milu Correch (Milagros Correch), born in 1991 in the Villa Urquiza neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, is an Argentine painter and muralist recognised internationally for her monumental wall paintings and illustrations. She started painting in the street in 2011 after training with Argentine artists Emy Mariani and Lean Frizzera, and from the outset chose to sign her works with her full name rather than a pseudonym.
Her work fuses classical, ancient and Latin American iconographies with mythological and anthropomorphic figures, often rendered in a palette of deep reds and muted flesh tones. Women, witches and folk narratives are central to her large-scale storytelling compositions.
Her murals now appear across Argentina and abroad - in Italy, Sweden, Spain and Georgia. In 2017, a wall she painted in Quilmes was named among the seven best murals in the world by the Dutch platform Street Art Today.
