Biography
Sweo is a French artist specialising in anamorphosis and 3D trompe-l'œil. A member of the 5.7 crew, he often works as a duo with the artist Nikita.
His work plays with perception: using spray paint, he creates optical illusions on walls and floors where objects, animals and volumes appear to burst out of the surface or sink into it. Goldfish, cubes and flowing water make up hyper-realistic scenes designed to be seen from a precise vantage point.
He paints façades and murals across France, notably as part of urban-art festivals and trails such as the Calais Street Art Festival, the GraffiC'Art Festival and Le Mans' Transfos Murales.
